FOX’s popular benchmark lightweight Transfer SL dropper seatpost extends further than ever, beyond just race bikes, thanks to two new longer-travel options. Now the lightest mainstream XC dropper post is ready for proper trail riding with both 125mm & 150mm drop variants in addition to the original short-travel versions…
FOX Transfer SL dropper posts go long
Just like the original Fox Transfer SL, these new longer dropper posts are all about shaving grams. With a simplified mechanical coil spring, just 1 up & 1 down positions, and no internal hydraulics or sealed air cartridges to worry about, the Transfer SL is both super light and super reliable. Now, thanks to options for 125mm or 150mm of drop, it’s also ready for real trail riding, too.
Compare a 150mm Transfer to the 150mm Transfer SL and Fox says you will save 167g.
What’s new? Tech details
Just longer travel. In addition to the original gravel 27.2 x 50mm & 75mm and cross-country 30.9/31.6 x 75mm & 100mm variants… now there are 31.6 x 125 & 150mm trail options, too.
Other than that, you get the same fast up & down 2-position dropper, with round or 7×9 rail compatibility. Claimed weights are as low as 421g for the 31.6x125mm Transfer SL. Pricing ranges from $329 for Performance Elite level posts with black slider, up to $399 for the Kashima-coated Factory droppers with titanium hardware.
